You are Amazing…Just Ask God

You Are Amazing

I saw this pin and started to pin it. In the core of my being, the thought was “how self-centered?” I responded to this thought immediately rather than let it go. “Why would you think that?” Some might say. Others may agree that it is self-centered, even a little egotistical. That is what I thought. Self-centered, egotistical. Not God at all. However, let’s visit the truth here. The truth of God’s Word.

Looking Out of Your Window

Girl in the WindowWhat do you see when you look out of your window? Gathering insight from the various bloggers on their view of their world, I thought this question would be thought-provoking regarding the world we live in and the current state of affairs. Do you see a world of hope or disaster? Do you see the hand of God moving regardless of what it looks like? Do you see the world as your permanent place or just a temporary place of residence? Do you see your part or role as significant in the world today? Do you see yourself helping others in this journey we are on? Do you see yourself as a vessel of God to be used for His glory? What do you see?

I posted the image above in a previous post about the girl in the window. However, I was playing around this morning and the thought came to me to use this image to ask the questions. As I read the Word daily with a new perspective, read the blogging community as well as reading other books, ever learning, I want to make sure that what I see is from God’s perspective.

Going with the Flow

Flower-ProjectI wasn’t sure about posting today because when I got up I didn’t feel too great. However, today was my first day off in six. I decided I wasn’t going anywhere. Had an appointment that I changed. Going with the flow, you know.

Flower2At any rate, I pulled out my camera after reading some blog posts and commenting. I thought, “Just let me go out to the backyard and take pictures of whatever I see.” Did that. Ended up taking some of a football, tree, flowers as well as the skyline. Now, what to do with them? I love photography as well as writing. I have been hungry to do some major depth of field shots but don’t have the camera I want. I do have a Adobe CS 6 though. [Graphic design class software, part of the $65K.] Anyway, time to put it to use. Pulled up a site regarding depth of field and Photoshop. First one I pulled up worked splendidly. Who knew?

Flower3I still needed to go pay an urgent bill and went out for a while. Back at home, I pulled up the images I took and loaded them to the computer. After playing around with the depth of field, I added all the images above. I only added the depth of field to the first image. I did want to share because I see how natural the creativity came as I went with the flow of things today. As part of this journey, I know that everything is done to the glory of God. In going with the flow and not being too busy, I just wanted to relax today. Be led by what God wanted for me today.

The point here is this, after taking the images and really thinking about the flower, I am blessed because I know that God cares for me just like the flowers and the trees. God truly has stated His glory when we look around and understand the true beauty of nature. Nature just grows, we don’t have to help it along. We are not needed to bring spring forth, summer, winter or fall. We can just enjoy it all. Hope you enjoy the images!

Precious, Precious…Lord Jesus

Precious_True LoveWhat is precious to you? Precious means valuable, of great worth, beloved, much prized. There are so many things people consider precious today. What is the intrinsic value of what you consider precious? This word prompt comes at a moment in time when dealing with family issues, transitioning, changing perspective, accepting new challenges and changing directions for the future.

Precious_HeartWhat stands out as precious to me is my relationship with Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. This is my most prized possession. It is my only constant, although ever changing me. I look at my transition and take it in stride. While driving the other day, I checked my heart on the things that I have in storage. What would happen if I lose them? Would I be okay? Of course, I would  be because I am okay right now without them. Do I want to lose them? No, I don’t. But I would rather lose them than my relationship with Jesus.
Precious Continues…!

Okay…What Next?

Okay_What's NextToday I find myself accepting things for what they are. I am in transition (again), until God does what He does for me. I have moved to another friend’s house. Having to keep transporting everything can be a bit overwhelming. Of course, all I need is my coffee pot, my Bible, my computer and my phone. I work with these tools consistently. Call me flexible because I adjust to the space that I’m in. Yes, I make do with whatever the situation is at the current moment.

Do I like this? No, but I have accepted that the flexibility I have is there for a reason. Do I know everything God is doing. Of course not. But then, would I have anything to write about? Maybe, maybe not. Fiction?
